Gaza city: Israeli colonists on Monday evening attacked the al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, according to local sources. They reported that settler gangs targeted the western outskirts of the village but were successfully repelled by the villagers.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, there was no immediate information about casualties resulting from the attack. Incidents of violence by colonists against Palestinians and their properties are common in the West Bank, and such acts are infrequently prosecuted by Israeli authorities. These acts of violence often include property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes.
There are approximately 1 million Israeli colonists residing in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which violates international law.
