Minya: Israeli colonists attacked a home and farm in the Jabal al-Qarn area of Minya town, east of Bethlehem, early Thursday, stealing more than 100 sheep and a vehicle and uprooting more than 100 olive trees. Ahmed Qawazbeh, head of the Minya village council, reported that the attack occurred around 3 a.m., during which Israeli occupation forces detained family members present on the farm and transported them to an undisclosed location.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the colonists targeted the Jabareen family, stealing around 100 sheep, one vehicle, and causing damage to another. They vandalized the house, destroying its contents and belongings, and severely damaged the solar power system that supplied the property with electricity. Additionally, the water line was cut off before the colonists left the area.
Qawazbeh stated that three family members were detained by Israeli occupation forces during the incident. The colonists physically assaulted family members, injuring two. One injured individual was transported to Al-Hussein Hospital in Beit Jala for medical treatment, while the other was detained by the forces despite the severity of his injuries.
The Jabal al-Qarn area and Minya have experienced an increase in attacks by colonists, primarily targeting Palestinian residents, their properties, farms, and essential resources like water and electricity.
