Gaza: Israeli occupation forces seized copies of the Palestinian newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadida on Sunday as they were being transported to the Tulkarm and Jenin governorates, after stopping the vehicle carrying them at a temporary military checkpoint set up at the eastern entrance of Tulkarm city.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Murad Yassin, director of Al-Hayat Al-Jadida's office in Tulkarm, stated that Israeli forces stopped the vehicle near the city's eastern entrance while it was on its way to Tulkarm. The forces conducted a thorough search of the vehicle before confiscating the newspaper copies.
Yassin further mentioned that the driver, Majed Shana'a, underwent a field interrogation. He was released after the forces seized two bundles of copies designated for Jenin governorate and one bundle intended for Tulkarm governorate.
