Far-Right Israeli Knesset Member Zvi Sukot Raids School in Shuafat Refugee Camp

Gaza: Far-right Israeli Knesset member Zvi Sukot today raided Noor Al-Huda School in the Ras Shihada area of Shuafat refugee camp, northeast of occupied Jerusalem. The incident has raised concerns among local residents and officials regarding the safety and continued operations of educational institutions in the region.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate confirmed that the far-right Knesset member entered the school premises unannounced, filmed a video inside, and placed signs bearing the word "Closed" on the school's doors. This act has been perceived as a direct attempt to intimidate and disrupt the school's daily activities.

The governorate further reported that this was the second instance of Sukot targeting the Noor Al-Huda School. The repeated actions have been described as efforts to force the school's closure, which has heightened tensions in the community and drawn criticism from various local and international observers concerned about educational rights in occupied territories.
