Gaza: The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported on Thursday that 48 Palestinians have been injured during an ongoing military raid by Israeli occupation forces on the Qalandia refugee camp and the town of Kafr Aqab, located north of occupied Jerusalem. The raid began on Wednesday, causing significant casualties and disruptions.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the PRCS revealed that 35 individuals who were severely beaten were transported to hospitals for medical care, while six others sustained injuries from beatings and were treated at the scene. The injuries also included one person who was struck by a rubber-coated metal bullet and six cases involving tear gas inhalation.
The PRCS further stated that since the onset of the raid at midnight on Wednesday, their ambulance crews faced repeated obstacles in accessing patients due to restrictions imposed by Israeli forces. These restrictions considerably hindered the ambulance services from reaching the refugee camp. Despite these challenges, emergency teams were able to evacuate some patients to hospitals, including those requiring kidney dialysis.
