Israeli Military Extends Offensive on Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams Camps Until End of September

Gaza: The Israeli occupation military has announced an extension of its ongoing offensive in the Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams refugee camps, now set to continue until September 30. This decision, made on Wednesday evening, prolongs the military orders that enforce closures on these areas, initially set to expire at the end of July.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the newly issued military orders stipulate that no one may enter, remain in, or leave the designated areas within the camps without obtaining a special permit from the Israeli military. The large-scale offensive originally commenced on January 21, 2025, targeting Jenin and its refugee camp, before expanding to the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. The operations have involved a range of military activities, including raids, bulldozing of infrastructure, demolitions, and the displacement of tens of thousands of families.

The extension of these military orders is occurring alongside a continued siege on the camps, with growing concerns about the worsening humanitarian conditions. Residents remain unable to return to their homes, as demolitions and destruction persist, exacerbating the crisis within these communities.
