Israeli Forces Seal Off All Entrances to Sinjil Town North of Ramallah

Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces closed all entrances to the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, early Wednesday morning. Local sources said the forces also shut down all agricultural and secondary roads linking the town to nearby villages using military bulldozers and earth mounds, effectively isolating the town.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the move brings the total number of closed roads and entrances to six main gates and 16 secondary and agricultural routes, including iron gates and earth and stone barriers. Locals describe this as a policy of tightening the siege on residents.

Sinjil Municipality Head Moataz Abdul Rahman stated in a press release that the closures are exacerbating residents' suffering and restricting the movement of patients, students, and workers, impacting all aspects of daily life. He has called on human rights and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to halt what he described as collective punishment imposed on the town.

Abdul Rahman further added that the municipality continues to monitor developments and document violations as part of its efforts to defend residents' rights and resilience amid escalating measures.
