President Abbas Receives 2025 Annual Report from Palestinian Investment Fund

Ramallah: President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday received the Palestinian Investment Fund's annual report for 2025 during a meeting attended by Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and Chairman of the Fund's Board of Directors Iyad Joudeh.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Joudeh briefed the president on the fund's key achievements over the past year despite challenging economic conditions. He discussed the investment and development plans aimed at strengthening the fund's role in supporting the Palestinian economy.

The fund has initiated a new three-year strategy to enhance its performance, considering exceptional circumstances and available investment opportunities. This strategy is focused on job creation, supporting the independence of the national economy, and strengthening the private sector's role.

President Abbas praised the fund's outcomes despite the difficulties facing the Palestinian economy. He stressed the importance of ongoing efforts to create decent employment opportunities to support the resilience of the Palestinian people.

Additionally, President Abbas emphasized the need to focus investments on vital economic and social sectors, such as healthcare, education, industry, agriculture, renewable energy, and other development fields. He highlighted the importance of enhancing the competitiveness of Palestinian products in local, Arab, and international markets.
