Israeli Military Orders Affect 20,000 Dunums to Expand Settlements in West Bank

Ramallah: Israeli authorities have issued military orders to expand colonial activities across the occupied Palestinian territory, affecting 20,000 dunums of land.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, aim to expand colonial activities in the occupied Palestinian territory. The orders serve multiple objectives, including the seizure of additional Palestinian land and the imposition of new demographic and geographic realities. These actions are intended to grant legitimacy to expansionist practices that violate international law.

The Applied Research Institute - Jerusalem (ARIJ) stated that these measures further restrict Palestinian use of land, strengthen settlement infrastructure, and undermine the prospects for sustainable and geographically contiguous Palestinian development. The orders target 15 sites across the occupied West Bank, covering a total area of approximately 20,000 dunums.

The institute highlighted that the governorates of Jerusalem, Jenin, and Qalqilya are among the most affected areas by these new military orders. This development raises concerns about the ongoing impact on the region and its residents.
