Colonists Torch Vehicles and Vandalize Property West of Ramallah

Ramallah: Israeli colonists on Friday evening torched two Palestinian-licensed vehicles and vandalized four others at the outskirts of Shuqba village, west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to WAFA photographer. He reported that colonists attacked the western area of the village, setting two vehicles on fire and smashing the windows of four others.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the assailants also targeted the vicinity of two farmsteads while several villagers were inside. The attackers left the scene as Israeli occupation forces arrived. The incident is part of a broader pattern of violence against Palestinian civilians and their property.

Israeli occupying forces and colonists executed a total of 1,637 attacks against Palestinians in April, as reported by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission. The report highlighted that occupation forces were responsible for 1,097 attacks, while colonists carried out 540. The majority of assaults were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, Hebron, Ramallah and al-Bireh, and Bethlehem.

The ongoing violence by colonists includes property damage, mosque arsons, stone-throwing, and the destruction of crops and olive trees. These acts are seldom prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, a situation that violates international law.
