Gaza city: An Israeli airstrike on Friday evening claimed the lives of seven Palestinians and resulted in dozens of injuries in the western part of Gaza City. The attack specifically targeted an apartment and a civilian vehicle at the Abu Al-Kas junction in the Al-Rimal neighborhood.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the airstrike by Israeli warplanes led to significant casualties, with seven Palestinians killed and many others injured. This incident is a continuation of a military offensive by Israel on the Gaza Strip that began on October 7, 2023. Since the onset of these hostilities, 72,744 Palestinians have been killed, most of whom are reported to be women and children, and 172,588 have been injured.
Despite the Gaza ceasefire agreement that was implemented on October 11, 2025, violence has persisted. Since the ceasefire, Israel has been responsible for the deaths of 857 Palestinians and injuries to 2,486 others. During this period, the bodies of 771 Palestinians have been recovered.
