Ad-deirat: Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday ordered a halt to construction work on eight Palestinian-owned homes in the village of Ad-Deirat, east of Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a local activist. The move was reported as part of ongoing tensions in the region regarding settlement activities and construction permits.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, anti-colonization activist Osama Makhamreh stated that Israeli forces raided the village and issued stop-work orders targeting several inhabited homes. This action has raised concerns among local residents who have been facing increasing pressure and restrictions related to land and building rights.
WAFA correspondent reported that earlier in the day, the forces also delivered two additional stop-work orders targeting homes in the same village. These orders form part of a broader pattern of actions by Israeli forces concerning construction activities in contested areas, impacting the daily lives of Palestinian residents.
