Israeli Forces Intensify Military Presence in Tulkarm Refugee Camp

Tulkarm: Israeli occupation forces on Monday increased military measures in the Tulkarm refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, correspondent, Israeli army bulldozers closed several roads in the camp and its surroundings, particularly those connecting it with the nearby Dhnaba neighborhood, by erecting earth mounds. This activity occurred amid a heavy deployment of military vehicles and infantry units. Additional reinforcements, including vehicles and bulldozers, were deployed into the camp through the Nitzanei Oz military gate west of the city as reconnaissance drones hovered overhead.

The correspondent further reported that the occupying forces ordered an unspecified number of residents to evacuate their homes in the vicinity of the camp. This order particularly affected areas near Ajyal Hall Street, Hanoun Square, and the western parts of the Dhnaba neighborhood, under the pretext of carrying out demolition operations inside the camp.

The Israeli occupation forces have been conducting operations in Tulkarm and the nearby refugee camps of Tulkarm and Nur Shams for the 463rd consecutive day. These actions occur within the context of a tight siege, accompanied by intermittent heavy live fire, further exacerbating the suffering of forcibly displaced residents and deepening the humanitarian crisis in the area.
