Ramallah: The Palestinian Central Elections Commission announced on Saturday that voting in the 2026 local elections is continuing across the country, with turnout reaching 40.62% by 5:00 p.m. local time. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in a press statement, the commission said that 418,223 voters had cast their ballots out of a total of 1,029,550 eligible voters. It added that turnout in Deir al-Balah, Gaza, reached 21.2%. The commission confirmed that polling stations in Deir al-Balah will close at 6:00 p.m., while stations in the West Bank will close at 7:00 p.m., urging citizens who have not yet voted to head to polling centers and exercise their democratic right.
