Beirut: Four Lebanese, including a female journalist, were killed in Israeli strikes in the towns of Tayri and Yohmar al-Shqif in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA).
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle in Tayri, resulting in the deaths of two civilians and injuring two female journalists. The journalists, identified as Amal Khalil and Zeinab Faraj, were surrounded and trapped by the Israeli military at the scene of the strike.
After being initially blocked by Israeli forces for hours, the Lebanese Red Cross eventually arrived at the scene and transported Faraj, who sustained moderate wounds. Efforts are still underway to transport Khalil, who was also injured in the incident.
Another drone strike targeted Yohmar al-Shqif, resulting in the deaths of two civilians and causing injuries to several others. The situation remains tense as response efforts continue in the affected areas.
