Jerusalem: The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian Territory, Francesca Albanese, has publicly criticized the Israeli occupation army, labeling it as 'the most depraved army.' This remark was made in response to a video circulating online that depicts Israeli soldiers mistreating a Palestinian child.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Albanese expressed her views in a post on her official X account, where she shared the footage showing the soldiers' actions. She stated, "I have seen enough to say it with absolute certainty: The Israeli army is the most depraved army."
In addition to her comments on the video, Albanese revealed that her personal safety has been compromised since she published a report accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza. In an interview with The Guardian, she disclosed receiving death threats and living under a constant sense of danger following the report's release.
