Birzeit: The Explosives Engineering Branch of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Police dealt with a suspicious object and handled several rocket shrapnel fragments that fell in the town of Birzeit, north of Ramallah, on Monday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the police issued a statement on Monday night detailing their response after receiving multiple reports at the operations room about the fall of rocket shrapnel and the presence of a suspicious object in the area. A team from the Explosives Engineering Unit was immediately dispatched to the location. The team secured and handled the rocket fragments and transported the unexploded suspicious object to a safe site, where it was destroyed following standard procedures.
The police reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and urged the public to avoid approaching any suspicious objects or remnants of war. They encouraged individuals to report such findings immediately using emergency numbers.
