Debris Falls in Three Locations in Central Israel After Iranian Missile Strike

Tel aviv: Missile debris fell in three locations in central Israel early Friday following a new wave of missiles launched by Iran, according to Israeli media. The incident has heightened tensions in the region, as sirens blared across northern and central Israel.

According to Anadolu Agency, public broadcaster KAN reported that debris from the missiles struck three locations in central Israel. Channel 12 added that Iran launched "a cluster missile" toward the area, highlighting the escalating conflict between the nations.

Earlier statements from the Israeli army confirmed that sirens were activated across large areas of northern and central Israel as a new wave of Iranian missiles was detected. A follow-up announcement noted that sirens also sounded in the settlement of Kiryat Shmona and surrounding areas in northern Israel, triggered by missile launches from Lebanon.

Israel's Health Ministry reported that 5,229 individuals have been injured in Iranian attacks since late last month, with 149 injuries occurring in the past 24 hours. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in military actions.

The region has been on high alert since a joint US-Israel offensive on Iran began on February 28, resulting in the deaths of over 1,340 people, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran has executed drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These actions have led to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
