Church Leaders in Jerusalem Call for Immediate End to Bloodshed in Easter Message

Jerusalem: The Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem called for an immediate halt to bloodshed in the region and urged efforts to achieve justice and peace in their message marking Easter.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the church leaders highlighted the extremely difficult conditions facing the Holy Land and the wider Middle East due to escalating confrontations. These confrontations have resulted in destruction, loss of life, and worsening economic crises. They also warned that the repercussions of the violence are expanding and affecting multiple regions around the world.

The church leaders stressed the importance of intensifying humanitarian efforts to assist those affected by the violence and continuing prayers and work aimed at ending the suffering of civilians, particularly in areas impacted by the conflict, including Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, and Lebanon.

They also called on believers and people of goodwill to strengthen values of solidarity, raise their voices in demanding an end to violence, and work toward establishing peace in the region.

The message added that the meaning of Easter this year carries a renewed call to hold on to hope despite challenges and to strive for a future guided by justice and peace.
