Israeli Forces Detain Elderly Palestinian in Masafer Yatta After Settler Incident

Masafer yatta: Israeli occupation forces detained an elderly Palestinian on Saturday in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank, according to local sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh reported that Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Hussein Al-Hamamdeh, an elderly resident of Al-Mufaqara village in the region. Along with Al-Hamamdeh, a foreign activist and several residents were briefly detained following an incident involving Israeli colonists and local shepherds in the village.

Makhamreh further stated that the Israeli forces used stun grenades and tear gas canisters during the confrontation, though there were no reports of injuries.
