Gaza: The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned statements by US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, in which he claimed it would be acceptable for Israel to take over the entire Middle East, including the West Bank. The ministry's spokesperson, Fuad Al-Majali, rejected the statements as absurd, provocative, and a violation of diplomatic norms. He said they undermine regional sovereignty, contradict international law and the UN Charter, and oppose US President Donald Trump's stated position rejecting the annexation of the occupied West Bank. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Al-Majali reaffirmed that the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip remain occupied Palestinian territories under international law, and that ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state on all occupied Palestinian land based on a two-state solution is the only path to just and comprehensive peace. He stressed the importance of unitin g efforts to stabilize Gaza and implement President Trump's plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803, instead of issuing provocative statements with no legal value or constructive effect.
