Al-jiftlik: A Palestinian child was killed and two others were injured on Tuesday in the village of Al-Jiftlik in the central Jordan Valley, north of Jericho, in an explosion involving remnants of Israeli military munitions.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Ahmad Ghawnameh, mayor of Al-Jiftlik, stated that two Palestinian children were impacted when unexploded ordnance from Israeli forces detonated in the Farush Beit Dajan area. The explosion resulted in the death of one child and left the others with serious injuries.
Ghawnameh further reported that Israeli forces prevented local residents from approaching the site of the explosion.
