Ramallah: The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) announced that today, Monday, the weather will be characterized by dusty and partly cloudy conditions, accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures. This change makes it relatively cold, particularly in the mountainous regions. The winds are expected to shift from northwesterly to southwesterly, while sea waves will remain moderately high. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the PMD forecasted that during the evening and night, the weather will turn partly cloudy to cloudy and cold. This will be especially prevalent in the mountainous areas, with scattered rain anticipated, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, during the late night hours over the northern and central regions. Winds will transition from southwesterly to westerly, and will be moderate to brisk, with sea waves continuing to be moderately high. The weather is expected to be influenced by a low-pressure system on Tuesday, bringing cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. A significant drop in temperatures is anticipated, with rain showers expected to spread across various regions, becoming heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. The winds will be active, blowing from the west to southwest, with strong gusts reaching speeds up to 60 km/h. Consequently, sea waves will be high. On Wednesday, the forecast predicts partly cloudy weather with a rise in temperatures, though it will remain cold, especially in the mountainous areas. Winds will be moderate, blowing from the northwest to southeast, and sea waves are expected to be moderately high. Thursday's weather will feature partly cloudy skies with a significant rise in temperatures, though conditions will remain relatively cold, particularly in mountainous areas. Winds will be moderate, blowing from the southeast, and sea waves will be low. The PMD issued a warning on Tuesday, during the period affected by the low-pressure system, regarding the risks of flash floods and flooding in valle ys and low-lying areas, high wind speeds, slippery roads, reduced horizontal visibility, and high sea waves.
