Israeli Forces Compel Palestinian to Demolish Own Marble Factory Near Qalqilya

Qalqilya: Israeli occupation forces on Saturday forced a Palestinian from the town of Kafr Thulth, south of Qalqilya, to carry out the self-demolition of his industrial facility.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that Israeli forces compelled Kamal Saeed Shawahneh to demolish his marble factory, which was located east of the town. The factory, constructed on an area of about 300 square meters, faced material losses estimated at more than $26,000. The demolition was mandated under the pretext of construction without a permit.

The sources further indicated that Israeli forces threatened Shawahneh with heavy fines if he did not proceed with the demolition himself. It was also noted that he had previously received a stop-work order for the factory in 2018, before being forced to demolish it this year.
