Ramallah: The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced that the country will be experiencing very cold conditions due to a high-pressure system accompanied by a polar air mass. The weather forecast for today indicates partly cloudy to clear skies, with temperatures remaining cold to very cold. Frost is anticipated in large areas throughout the country. Winds are expected to be northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate, becoming more active during the nighttime. Sea waves are predicted to be low.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the weather for Wednesday is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy, with no significant change in temperatures. The cold conditions will persist, particularly in mountainous regions. The winds will shift to southeasterly to easterly, with brisk conditions and occasional strong gusts. Sea waves are expected to remain low.
On Thursday, a noticeable rise in temperatures is forecasted, although it will still be relatively cool, especially in elevated areas. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected, with a chance of scattered light rain during the night. Winds will transition from southeasterly to southwesterly by evening and are predicted to be moderate. Sea waves may range from low to moderate.
The PMD has issued warnings for slippery roads in areas experiencing rainfall today and reduced visibility due to fog formation. Additionally, citizens and farmers have been cautioned about the risk of frost and freezing conditions expected on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, as well as the continued risk of slippery roads.
