Tubas: Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by heavy bulldozers, stormed the Atouf area east of Tammoun town, south of Tubas, on Thursday. The operation was part of ongoing activities in the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the Atouf village council, Abdullah Bisharat, reported that the forces entered the Bir al-Ma'yar area with heavy bulldozers and surveying crews. This move is linked to the occupation's plan to construct a colonial road in the area.
At the end of last year, a decision was issued to seize hundreds of dunams of Palestinian land for the construction of a 22-kilometer colonial road. This road is planned to extend from Ein Shibli towards the Tayasir checkpoint, passing through the Bir al-Ma'yar area.
