PM Mustafa Discusses Palestinian Developments and Humanitarian Needs with European Officials

Ramallah: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa engaged in discussions with Christian Berger, Director of the Crisis Response Centre at the European External Action Service, focusing on the latest developments and field situation in Palestine. The talks were aimed at advancing a serious political track to swiftly implement international efforts to realize the State of Palestine, amidst ongoing severe conditions and a growing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the meeting also included the European Union Representative in Palestine, Alexandre Stutzmann, and Deputy EU Representative James Rizzo. They addressed the continued attacks by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. Prime Minister Mustafa highlighted the necessity of implementing United Nations Security Council resolutions on Palestine, consolidating the ceasefire in Gaza, and ensuring the entry of humanitarian aid to meet urgent needs.

Mustafa further underscored the importance of exerting pressure to halt occupation measures in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, securing the release of withheld Palestinian tax revenues, and ending illegal deductions. Berger, representing the European Union, reiterated support for the two-State solution and the Palestinian Government's efforts to unify the West Bank and Gaza, ensuring the unity of institutions and upholding their internationally recognized legal reference.
