Jenin: Israeli forces seized nearly 140 dunams of Palestinian land belonging to the village of Fandaqumiya, south of Jenin. The head of the Fandaqumiya village council, Ghassan Qarariya, reported the seizure, indicating that residents were notified of the appropriation of village land in three areas.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the newly seized land is an addition to a previous decision to confiscate 311 dunums, bringing the total area taken to around 450 dunums. This expansion has raised concerns among the local population about the ongoing appropriation of their land.
Earlier on Thursday, a group of Israeli colonists erected mobile homes between the lands of Fandaqumiya and Burqa, south of Jenin, further escalating tensions in the region.
