Bethlehem: Israeli occupation forces have issued a demolition notice for a Palestinian-owned home in al-Khader, a town situated south of Bethlehem, as reported by a local official. The head of the al-Khader Municipal Council, Ahmad Salah, informed a WAFA correspondent of the development on Wednesday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the demolition notice pertains to a two-storey house located west of the town. Each floor of the house measures approximately 180 square meters, and the demolition order was issued under the pretense of the structure being built without a permit.
Salah further disclosed that the appeal filed to halt the demolition order was rejected by occupation courts, although no specific date for the demolition has been set. He highlighted that the threat of demolition extends to 12 houses in the area, affecting both currently inhabited homes and those still under construction. In addition to residential structures, agricultural rooms and water wells also face potential demolition. Salah noted the recent demolition of three houses, each consisting of three floors, one of which was inhabited.
