Silat al-harithiya: A Palestinian child was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces on Saturday night in the town of Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, according to Palestinian security sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the sources reported that Israeli forces opened live fire at 16-year-old Mohammad Iyad Abahreh in Silat al-Harithiya, resulting in his death, before seizing his body. Earlier in the evening, Israeli forces stormed the town, raided several homes, and fired live ammunition and stun grenades, which triggered confrontations with residents. Snipers were also deployed on the rooftops of several buildings.
With the killing of Abahreh, the death toll in the Jenin governorate has risen to 60 since the start of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the province on January 21.
