Ramallah: Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesperson for President Mahmoud Abbas, stated today that Israel's ongoing military actions against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, will not result in security or stability for any party involved. He further asserted that no legitimacy will be granted to measures undertaken by Israeli authorities.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Abu Rudeineh highlighted the continuous Israeli military offensive in Tubas, which has persisted for three consecutive days, along with aggressive actions in Jenin and its refugee camp, as well as in Tulkarm and its refugee camps. He warned that these actions contribute to a cycle of violence and escalation in the region.
He accused the Israeli government of defying the international community by persistently violating international law and resolutions of international legitimacy. Abu Rudeineh argued that these actions undermine efforts to enact a ceasefire in Gaza and halt attacks in the West Bank, jeopardizing any potential for achieving security and stability in the region or initiating a political process based on international legitimacy to end the occupation.
Abu Rudeineh urged the United States administration to take immediate and decisive action to compel Israel to cease its military actions against the Palestinian people and stop activities related to colonist violence. He cautioned that the continuation of such actions poses a threat to regional stability and efforts to de-escalate tensions.
He reiterated that Gaza is an integral part of the unified Palestinian homeland and state, asserting its unity with the West Bank and East Jerusalem as an inalienable right.
