Belgium Condemns Surge in Israeli Colonists’ Violence Against Palestinians in West Bank

Belgium: Israeli colonists' violence against Palestinians in the West Bank has reached its highest level in two decades, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation of Belgium, Maxime Prevot. He stated that the violence has escalated to unprecedented levels, marking a significant concern for the international community.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Prevot expressed his condemnation through a post on X, emphasizing his commitment to ensuring the Belgian government's measures are effectively implemented to address the issue. He voiced his shock over images that surfaced showing Israeli soldiers shooting two Palestinian civilians who were surrendering. Prevot highlighted the seriousness of these actions, stating that they violate international law and pose a threat to peace efforts.

Prevot further commented on the ongoing conflict, mentioning Israel's major offensive in the north and urging for an investigation into the violence. He stressed the importance of strong measures to prevent further escalation, noting the potential risks to the implementation of the 20-point plan for Gaza and the broader two-state solution.
