Israeli Forces Establish Checkpoints, Disrupt Traffic near Ramallah

Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces on Sunday morning closed the entrance to the village of Atara and set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to Nabi Saleh, located north and northwest of Ramallah in the central West Bank. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the closure of Atara's main entrance forced residents to use long alternative routes to reach their destinations. The forces also erected a military checkpoint near the colonial settlement of Halamish, built on the lands of Nabi Saleh, where soldiers stopped several vehicles, searched them, and inspected passengers' IDs, causing a severe traffic jam. The entrance serves the villages and towns of Beit Rima, Deir Ghassana, Kafr Ein, and Qarawa, as well as the city of Salfit and nearby villages.
