Ramallah: Israeli forces on Tuesday evening briefly held a WAFA news team near the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah. WAFA correspondent Aseel Sadeq reported that she and WAFA staff member Mohammad Barghouthi were detained for a short period while they were returning from Burqa. Sadeq had been preparing a report on alleged violations committed against the village by Israeli forces and colonists.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Israeli forces stopped the news team's vehicle, conducted a search, and questioned them about their journalistic assignment. The incident highlights the ongoing tensions and challenges faced by journalists covering sensitive topics in the region.
