Sharm el-sheikh: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh to participate in the Peace Summit scheduled for Monday, co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the summit, attended by heads and leaders from more than 20 countries, will discuss ways to end the war in the Gaza Strip, enhance efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability in the Middle East, and discuss post-war arrangements in the Strip.
The summit will also be attended by UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and European Council President Ant³nio Costa.
The summit is part of the plan announced on September 29th by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war in the Gaza Strip and achieve lasting peace in the Middle East.
