Ramallah: The Norwegian government has agreed to provide an additional 4 million USD to the Palestinian public budget, as announced by the Finance Ministry on Monday. This decision came during a meeting held at the Ministry's headquarters in Ramallah, attended by Minister of Finance Omar Al-Bitar and Erik Berg¥sv, the Representative of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Minister Al-Bitar emphasized that this financial support demonstrates Norway's continued dedication to aiding the Palestinian people. He highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to enhance the resilience of state institutions and ensure the sustainability of public services. Al-Bitar acknowledged Norway's valuable role as a reliable partner in fostering Palestinian economic development.
Berg¥sv, representing the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reiterated Oslo's commitment to ongoing cooperation aimed at promoting financial stability. He noted that this support is intended to help the Palestinian government fulfill its responsibilities to its citizens.
