Israeli Forces Maintain Closure of Sinjel Main Entrance for Second Day

Ramallah: Israeli forces continue, for the second consecutive day, the closure of the main entrance to the village of Sinjel, northeast of Ramallah, according to local sources. The ongoing closure has been obstructing the movement of Palestinians in and out of the village, causing significant disruption to daily life.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the closure of Sinjel's main entrance is part of a broader pattern of increased restrictions in Palestinian territories. Since October 7, 2023, the number of permanent and temporary checkpoints, including gates, military checkpoints, and earth mounds, has reached a total of 916. These measures significantly restrict the movement of people and goods across the region.

In addition to the checkpoints, more than 243 iron gates have been installed following October 7, 2023. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission's latest report highlights these developments, reflecting heightened restrictions and increased tension in the area.
