Gaza: A Lebanese civilian was killed in an Israeli drone strike on the southern village of Qalaouiyeh, marking a significant escalation in air raids across southern Lebanon. The attack, which took place on Saturday, targeted a civilian vehicle near a public school in the village using a guided missile. In a separate incident, an Israeli drone dropped a stun grenade on the village of Kafr Kila.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israel launched its largest aerial assault on an economic zone since the conclusion of the 66-day war. This assault involved over ten airstrikes at dawn, specifically targeting machinery and construction equipment dealerships along the Msaileh-Zahrani road in southern Lebanon.
The explosions caused significant destruction, turning the area into what was described as 'a fireball resembling an earthquake.' The strikes resulted in one civilian fatality and left six others wounded, with some injuries reported as serious.
The bombardment led to the closure of the Msaileh-Nabatieh road due to deep craters and oil leaks from destroyed machinery. Civil defense bulldozers were deployed to clear the debris, eventually reopening the road to traffic.
