Israeli Colonists Attack Palestinian Woman in Northern Jordan Valley

Northern jordan valley: Israeli colonists attacked a Palestinian woman in Khirbet al-Hadidiya in the northern Jordan Valley. According to a local activist, Mu'taz Bsharat, around 20 colonists, accompanied by occupation forces, invaded the community and assaulted families, leaving a woman with bruises on her body.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the gun-toting soldiers also attacked the inhabitants and detained three men. Violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is seldom addressed by Israeli authorities. Such violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which are considered violations of international law. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli colonists have carried out 7,154 attacks against Palestinian civilians and property in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the deaths of 33 civilians and the displacement of 33 Bedouin communities, comprising 455 families (2,853 people), as reported by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.
