Gaza: One Palestinian was killed and several civilians were wounded by Israeli army fire while waiting for aid northwest of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources reported that multiple civilians sustained injuries, including a head injury, when Israeli occupation forces opened fire with live ammunition near an aid distribution center in the Al-Shakoush area. The incident occurred as people gathered to receive humanitarian assistance.
Further exacerbating the situation, an Israeli drone targeted civilian homes on Al-Maghribi Street in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, located south of Gaza City, as well as areas south of Khan Yunis. The attacks have intensified fears among the residents, already struggling with limited access to essential supplies and aid.
Medical crews in the region have been working to address the casualties. They recovered the bodies of two individuals from Gaza City, while another person died from wounds sustained in the southern Gaza Strip a few days prior. The ongoing violence has further strained the already overburdened medical facilities in the area, highlighting the urgent need for humanitarian intervention and safety assurances for civilians.
