Nablus: A Palestinian on Wednesday evening sustained an injury from Israeli army fire in Huwara town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to medical sources. They reported that a Palestinian was injured by a live round in the foot, shot by the occupying forces in the town.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources added that the occupation forces stormed the town and fired a barrage of live ammunition, tear gas, and sound bombs at the inhabitants. This action triggered confrontations and resulted in one casualty.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for 'wanted' Palestinians. These raids often lead to clashes with residents.
These operations are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in line with its broad and arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank, leaving Palestinians with no say in how this authority is exercised.
