Palestinian Suffers Injuries in Attack by Israeli Colonists Near Hebron

Hebron: A Palestinian civilian sustained bruises during an attack by Israeli colonists in Masafer Yatta, located south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident occurred on Tuesday when the colonists targeted a house to the east of Shi'b al-Butum, one of the hamlets within Masafer Yatta. The attack resulted in bruises across the body of the homeowner's wife.

The injured party received medical treatment from the Palestinian Red Crescent medics. The agency highlights that violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property is a common occurrence in the West Bank, with such acts rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

The violence perpetrated by colonists encompasses property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, the uprooting of crops and olive trees, and assaults on vulnerable homes. There are approximately 1 million Israeli colonists residing in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is in violation of international law.
