San marino: The official television of the European microstate of San Marino announced on Tuesday that it has formally recognized the State of Palestine. The decision marks a significant step in international relations and was made during an important diplomatic event.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the recognition was formalized on Monday at the "Two-State Solution Conference" held in New York. This conference was led by France and Saudi Arabia and took place under the auspices of the United Nations, aiming to address and support the two-state solution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In a related development, other nations have also declared their recognition of the State of Palestine. On Sunday, Britain, Canada, Australia, and Portugal announced their recognition, followed by Luxembourg, Belgium, Andorra, France, Malta, and Monaco on the subsequent day. This wave of recognition raises the total number of UN member states acknowledging Palestine to approximately 159 out of 193.
