Egypt Reaffirms Opposition to Palestinian Displacement Amid Gaza Conflict

Nicosia: The Arab Republic of Egypt has reiterated its firm stance against the mass displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, a situation it deems an ongoing genocide perpetrated by Israeli forces.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, speaking to reporters in Nicosia, emphasized that displacement is a non-negotiable issue for Egypt. "Displacement is not an option and it is a red line for Egypt, and we will not allow it to happen," he asserted.

Minister Abdelatty further explained that forced displacement equates to the eradication of the Palestinian cause, lacking any legal, moral, or ethical justification for uprooting people from their homeland. He described the current situation as unimaginable, portraying it as an active genocide involving the mass killing of civilians and deliberate starvation by Israeli forces.
