Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of the repeated remarks made by the Israeli Prime Minister concerning the displacement of Palestinians from their land, which includes routes through the Rafah crossing. The Ministry has also criticized the ongoing use of siege and starvation as tactics to enforce forced displacement.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Saudi Ministry described these actions as severe violations of international laws, principles, and fundamental humanitarian norms. The Ministry affirmed its complete support for Egypt in dealing with these issues. It also highlighted the necessity for the international community, especially the permanent members of the UN Security Council, to take action to halt the Israeli aggression against Palestinians.
The Ministry reiterated its stance against any form of displacement, regardless of the reasons presented, and called for the accountability of occupation authorities for acts of genocide and serious violations against civilians. Furthermore, the statement emphasized the urgent need for an end to these crimes and violations, advocating for the protection of the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. This step is deemed crucial for regional security and stability.
