Hebron: Israeli colonists on Friday chopped down over 100 grapevines in the Ishkara area, southeast of Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a media activist. Osama Makhamra reported that colonists vandalized a four-donum land planted with over 100 grapevines.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, colonists' violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Such acts of violence include property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which are considered a violation of international law.
