Finland’s President Ready to Recognize State of Palestine if Government Proposes

Helsinki: President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, has announced his readiness to recognize the State of Palestine should the government present him with a proposal to do so. In his statement, Stubb emphasized his willingness to approve such a proposal, aligning with recent international moves. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Stubb highlighted the decisions by France, the United Kingdom, and Canada to recognize the State of Palestine. He noted that these actions contribute to building momentum for the recognition of Palestine and serve as a significant step toward reviving the peace process in the region. In his post on X, Stubb also voiced his concerns regarding the current situation in Gaza, describing the conditions there as inhumane and expressing his dismay over the ongoing conflict.
