Colonists Chase Palestinian Shepherds, Attempt to Steal Livestock Near Hebron

Hebron: Israeli colonists chased shepherds and attempted to steal their livestock in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, on Thursday. Media activist Osama Makhamreh reported that the incident took place in Khirbet al-Fakhit, where armed colonists pursued the shepherds from the pastures and attempted to seize their livestock.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the armed colonists also released hundreds of heads of livestock into the fruit trees surrounding the homes of citizens in Khirbet Aqwawis. This act is part of a larger strategy of pastoral colonialism, which aims to assert control over the pastures and water wells in Masafer Yatta, effectively blocking citizens from accessing these essential resources.

Makhamreh highlighted that the ultimate goal of these actions is to forcibly displace the residents from their lands, facilitating further colonial expansion in the region. The ongoing tensions and confrontations in Masafer Yatta underscore the challenges faced by Palestinian communities in maintaining their livelihoods and securing their land rights amidst such pressures.
