Jerusalem: Israeli occupation authorities have ordered 22 Palestinian families to vacate their homes in the Um Tuba neighborhood of Sur Baher, south of occupied Jerusalem, by July 7.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the eviction orders target families residing in the Al-Mashahid area of Um Tuba, adjacent to the illegal Har Homa colony, which is built on Palestinian land in Jabal Abu Ghneim.
Local resident Yousef Abu Tair, one of those affected, said that the Israeli court issued the order, giving him and 21 other families-comprising approximately 180 Palestinian residents-until July 7 to evacuate their homes. Abu Teir affirmed his and affected residents' deep rejection over this decision, emphasizing that they will not leave their land or ancestral homes.
