London: A joint statement by the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Canada regarding the situation in Gaza and the West Bank warned that if Israel does not cease its renewed military offensive and lift restrictions on humanitarian aid, the three countries will take further concrete measures in response. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the statement expressed strong opposition to Israel's military operations in Gaza, emphasizing that the level of human suffering in the region is intolerable. The leaders of the three countries condemned recent remarks made by Israeli officials and criticized the announcement of limited food entry into Gaza, describing it as wholly inadequate. The statement further highlighted the need for Israel to engage with the United Nations to ensure the delivery of aid in line with humanitarian principles and stressed that denying essential humanitarian assistance could breach International Humanitarian Law. The leaders also opposed any attempts to exp and settlements in the West Bank, warning that such actions undermine the viability of a Palestinian state and threaten the security of both Israelis and Palestinians. In addition, the statement voiced support for diplomatic efforts led by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and concluded with a call for the implementation of a two-state solution as the only path to lasting peace and stability in the region. The leaders reiterated their commitment to recognizing a Palestinian state as part of achieving this solution. Since March 2, Israel's sealing of Gaza's border crossings has prevented the entry of essential goods, leading to a severe deterioration in humanitarian conditions.
